During our time at Auckland we drove over to Goat Island to spend some time at the marine reserve there. We learned a lot about pollution from plastics and the importance of preserving the ecosystems in that area. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go snorkeling to look at the marine wildlife due to bad weather, but we did go for a walk along the coast. I thought I was in Ireland for a moment.
