Marble Arch, the mini Arc du Triumph

I have visited the Marble Arch so you don't have to.

Many say this is a small version of the Triumph Arch in Paris, and people usually create big expectative around it. I am here to let you tell you to lower those expectative and maybe even skip it as a place to visit in London.

If you are on this side of Oxford Street or plan to visit Hyde Park, maybe you can start here. But otherwise, to go here on purpose it is really nothing special.

Still, this is a very popular place and the area is a very busy area in London. But you probably will see a lot of tourists looking at each other with disappointment faces!

The area around is nice but also nothing special and you have places way better to visit.

As I said, only worth it if you are on this end of Oxford Street or the Hyde Park, otherwise just skip it.

Check here for the official site of the monument.

Some details and more about Marble Arch

London is a city renowned for its iconic landmarks, captivating history, and vibrant atmosphere. Amidst the grandeur of architectural marvels like Buckingham Palace and the Tower Bridge, there is a place that often goes unnoticed—the Marble Arch. Standing stoically on the bustling junction of Oxford Street and Park Lane, this monument is often overshadowed by its more impressive counterparts. Despite its historical significance, the Marble Arch is an underwhelming place to visit.

While London boasts an abundance of awe-inspiring landmarks, the Marble Arch is undoubtedly an underwhelming place to visit. Its unremarkable appearance, lack of historical significance, limited engagement opportunities, and dearth of surrounding attractions all contribute to its lackluster appeal. London's visitors are better off exploring the city's other iconic sights that offer a more immersive and captivating experience. As the Marble Arch fades into the background of the bustling metropolis, it serves as a reminder that not all landmarks are created equal in their ability to leave a lasting impression.

I think it is easy to say that this is not my favourite place to visit in London and I also remember the first time I have visited was before I moved to the country and I was very disappointed.

When I have friends visiting, this is one of the places that I never take them. Obviously, even if after my opinion and this photos you want to risk it and go visit the Marble Arch, do it at your own risk.

If any of you have visited the Marble Arch I want to know if you agree with me.

Above you can see the map of where to find Marble Arch and even on the map it looks so underwhelming, but I don't want you to get lost in your journey there.

If there are any places in London that you are curious to see, just let me know and I will try to visit it to share it here with you.
