ZeroLimit

Spent some time with ZeroLimit this week, Jun Murakami's limiter plugin. The whole point is right there in the name: zero latency. That matters a lot for streaming and broadcast, and honestly it is also nice when you are arranging and want something sitting on the master bus that does not mess with your timing.

The interface is straightforward. Threshold and output sliders on the sides, input, output, and gain-reduction meters in the middle, plus a multi-band toggle where you can pick 3, 4, or 5 bands. I ran it in 3-band mode on a rough master and it did exactly what a limiter should do without me having to overthink it.

Format-wise it is covered: VST3, AU, AAX, LV2, and CLAP, so pretty much every DAW on macOS, Windows, or Linux can run it. Current version is 1.1.7. There is also a web demo you can play with in the browser before installing anything, which is a nice touch.
