UJAM is giving away UFX Distort free to BPB readers until November 1 — it's normally a $49 plugin, and all it takes is an emailed code at checkout (just double-check the total reads zero before you complete it). It's a distortion and multi-effects box with 20 drive modes running from tube warmth and tape saturation through fuzz and hard clipping into wilder territory like foldback and ring modulation. A Slam control keeps drum transients punchy under heavy gain, Clean Bass mode leaves the low end untouched while the rest gets chewed up, and 24 speaker emulations plus Filter and Finisher sections with 90 algorithms between them give you plenty of ways to shape the result. Over 150 presets are included to get started.
