Daniel Fernandes just put out Spotlight, a stereo shaping plugin built around one dot on a semicircular pad. Drag it around and you are panning and widening or narrowing a sound at the same time, instead of reaching for two different controls - scroll for focus on its own, right-click drag for pan on its own, and Ctrl-click snaps everything back to centre. It is about as stripped-back as an interface gets, which is the whole point: you can hear where something sits and just move it there. It is in beta and free / pay-what-you-want, with VST3, CLAP and AUv2 builds for Windows, Linux and macOS (the Mac builds are still untested, so expect the odd rough edge there).
