Splinterlands Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge Possibilus The Wise
Completing My Deck to be level 2 Summoners
Each week I do what I can to continue to build my team to be a complete team based off level two summoners. Once every to that point I'll consider upgrading a few and seeing what cards would give me the most benefit. While I don't own Possibilus the Wise yet, I knew as soon as I saw that I wanted to play with it. I went out to the market and I rented a gold foil level 2 version right away just so I can get some experience with it while I save up the money to buy one. Unfortunately my version will most likely not be gold foil and I will just be buying a regular level two somewhere since it is a legendary.
Weekly Challenge - Possibilus The Wise
As soon as I saw this kind of deal I knew it was going to be a massive game changer for water. Water was already an exceptionally strong splinter with its increase speed and armor for opportunity in melee cards. But the addition of trample into reach really changes things around 8 weeks it be the clear choice in several rule sets. This has moved to the top of my mustang list and will be bought before several other cards I still need.
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: WATER SUMMONER
Abilities: TRAMPLE
Abilities: Reach
Abilities: Health +2
Reasons Why I like it
This is an amazingly useful card. The plus 2 health is great for many cards start with a low health and this will help the counter it or it'll add even more health to the base which will help those cards that have a healer behind them. They reachability really changes up what cards can be played second or even third will not wrecking the ability of opportunity cards that water is so famous for already. But the biggest and most useful of all is that it gives every card trample. There's just something about knowing that every card that's attacking has the opportunity to do more than one attack on if you turn can really add things up. Those matches that have infinite trample are clearly just going to be a war of water and see who gets the luckiest on triggering trample after trample.
He only downsides that I see are the higher mana cost and the lack of armor that I'm so used to with Kelya, it makes a few of those lower health cards more vulnerable to opportunity attacks and taken out the first round before they get a chance to get rolling.
The Matchup

MANA: 42
RULES: Up to Eleven: All Monsters have the Amplify ability.
RULES: Tis but Scratches: All Monsters have the Cripple Ability
Initial Rule Set and Mana Gameplay Thoughts
He's a couple of the newer rule sets that I'm not as used to. The up to 11 which increases every monster to have amplify doesn't seem to be as much of a threat since in the lower levels not as many cards have reflection or thorns. I don't think it'll be as big but impact on the direction of the match as others.
Theaters but scratches real set is all so newer and it adds crippled to every monster which takes away one base health. I can see this being a bit more impactful as even those attacks that don't get through the armor are still reducing the base health and will have a bigger impact down the road.
With 42 mana basically everything is open giving it only water and death are available I think it's going to be a water versus water.

Summoner Possibilus the Wise
The star of the show, the reason why I'm showing this battle is because I wanted to get out and try the new reach and trample abilitiesFirst Position Arkemis the Bear
Another recent purchase. I like the fact that it has high health, decent speed and damage, and at armored to everyone. This will make up for the fact that I no longer am getting armor for my summer.Second Position Diemonshark
Given that the demon shark now has reached ability granted by the seminary it's a great second card and it hopefully starts to get triggering on its trample.Third Position Demeted Shark
Since I'm going all melee this match, I'm willing to put this card here and not have it attack, as long as it keeps giving me the inspire to increase the melee attacks for water.Fourth Position Feasting Deeplurker
Hard not to ever play Deeplurker. Especially if I can get a trample in the middle of theFifth Position Feasting Seaweed
I figure if I'm going this one opportunity card, a month ago with given that it'll be a four melee damage with trampol there's a good opportunity to start taking out the middle and back lineup very early since I'm also playing DeeplurkerSixth Position Torrent Fiend
Just my classic lowest mana first targeted card but I hopefully eat a couple of attacks of opportunity and or sneak.
Opponent Lineup & Match Play
- Summoner Kelya Frendul what I expected to see honestly, the speed and armor biological choice and make everything more difficult to hear
- Wave Brood Weaver to great choice of either the front or the back of the lineup time to concentrate all the attacks onto it to allow everything else to survive
- Flying Squid another favorite second place card given it it has reach in good speed health and damage solid choice here.
- Deep Lurker like I said before, everyone plays deep lurker. Unfortunately for me this is a level five which is got higher speed damage than I do it might be an issue
- River Hellondale interesting card, I seem to play against it quite a bit and have it be impactful against me while I'm unable to use it efficiently. Not sure how it'll play out in this match but it's always a wild card
- Merdaali Guirdian having a tank healer is always nice especially with wave rude that's 13 health more likely to keep it around multiple rounds and not allow my opportunity to take home
- Axe Master one of the best ranged attacks and water since it's a double strike high-speed card. It's going to cause issues and take a lot of health and armor away from me.
Overall I'm feeling pretty good after seeing their lineup I think I have a shot even though that I am playing some lower range cards than they are but I think this will all come down to how many tramples I get to trigger and how impactful those tramples are.
Round 1
Round one starts off with a bang, but since they have the speed boost they get to do a couple of attacks before anything gets going on my side. I was lucky enough to get my first knockout with feasting seaweed and get my first trample of the match. The good news is that we've already triggered the resurrection in the first round. And it only is going to come back with a one armor which won't be a problem for me to get through.
Round 2
For start of the second round looks pretty even even knowing that I will be the first to lose a couple of cards off the board for good given their speed. After knocking out way brewed a second time I get to my second trample of the match followed up by getting my second knockout of the round with feasting seaweed which manages to actually hit axe master despite the speed difference.
Round 3
Round three is looking pretty good for me as I seem to have majority of my cards dealing high damage left. And I'm only an attacker to away from knocking out multiple cards. I am pretty fortunate that every trample I have had this match has managed to hit despite the speed differences. I think if I wasn't hitting these and in fact I was missing I would be much more likely to lose
Round 4
Four rounds four starts we already know what's going to happen. This victory is well in my hand and I won't be losing unless I get severely unlucky with a bunch of 20% chance to miss. Well I continues and around is over fairly quickly.
Thoughts - and Chances to Win Again
I really think my lineup was well built, and I think the trample ability will cause real problems given how good water is at melee attacks especially opportunity attacks. When you combine this with the front attack and every card not having reach the opportunities you have to build a massive lineup are crazy.
It went off to look at my chances to win again but I believe that the card is so new that's splinterools.com doesn't have it built into its algorithm. I believe the website came back and said that a 0% chance to win no matter how many times I ran it. It clearly looks like I am more likely to win than lose but until enough information is gathered and built into the algorithm I guess we just don't know. All I know is I will continue to rent and play the card until I'm able to buy my own because I think it's going to be that powerful and low League matches.
