Miracles happen everyday. Not in proportions that we expect sometimes, but they happen and we often fail to see them.

I took some pictures about two months ago, and each time I come across them in my gallery, I remember my untold story.
On Monday, the 24th of January, I was on my way from the Nimbe Adedipe Library, FUNAAB, to the Senate Building to collect a package sent to me from home through a staff, I was discouraged and my mind was set on the workload I had to cover before Wednesday when my examination was to start. I looked ahead and sighted this cluster of trees. Breathtaking!

The harmattan this year was intense. We've not had anything like it in years. I used to complain of not having that thrill of waking up on a chilly morning, scared to take your bath because you're certain the cold would take your life. This year's version of harmattan gave me pure joy until I started having achy bones, tiredness and drowsiness that comes with the weather and fluctuating body temperature. The realization that I was going to write exams in that condition didn't make it any easier. Everything seemed dry and dreary, seeing those trees was just the miracle I needed to lift my spirits and assure me I'd be fine.

Now, you might not understand how or why I drew strength from blossoming trees until I tell you that in all my years of studying in FUNAAB (almost 4 years now), this was the very first time I'd experience these trees bloom like they did.
Checking two weeks later, it was gone.

Prior to taking these pictures, my phone camera had been really discouraging. Whatever pictures I took came with a custom black spot. Taking these pictures, I completely forgot the spot and tada!, it didn't appear this time and in fact, never appeared again.

"He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God's design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous" (The Passion Translation Bible, Ps. 1:3)

I have a pastor who says every day he goes to bed, just before he falls asleep, he'd recall the activities of the day, search out the miracles of the day and give thanks for them.
The moment you become conscious and intentionally search out the miracles you experience each day, you start living up God's promises for you. You come to realize you're never alone. You don't need to check references when you need to claim victory over situations because you're an evidence.

Don't live today like just another day, recognize the miracles of today and be encouraged. And of course, give thanks.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
TGIF馃コ Have a great weekend!
