Hello Photography Fans! This time I want to share about two types of yellow flowers that I photographed on low bushes by the roadside in a residential area. But even though they have similarities, these two flowers actually come from different types of flowers even though they are both yellow and have similarities.

The first is the Alamanda flower and this flower in my opinion is a very popular flower. This flower which has the scientific name Allamanda Cathartica is a flower that is often referred to as the golden trumpet flower or yellow bell flower in our place in Indonesia.

Based on observations, that alamanda flowers or yellow bell flowers are included in the group of woody shrubs whose height can exceed one meter at maximum age and the stems will be brown due to the formation of wood, while the young shoots are green. In addition, Alamanda leaves are generally three or four strands with a fragrant floral aroma.

The second flower, is an ornamental ginje plant which has the scientific name Thevetia Peruviana. This ornamental plant also includes a shrub with a small tree that has many branches and has a height of more than one meter, just like alamanda.

Ginje is a plant that contains a milky white sap and is highly toxic, while Alamanda does not have a sap like ginje, and is non-toxic.

Ginje is grayish green in color and smells bad when I smell it. I've seen ginje on people's fences when I was a kid, and only now have I seen it again. Ginje has a green upper leaf surface while the underside is rather bright and shiny. In addition, ginje has yellow flowers like alamanda and blooms at the same time. Ginje has fruit, including stone fruit, which are shiny green and when ripe they are black as seen in the picture I shared.
