Feliz día de la mujer! día otorgado en honor a las mujeres que en una empresa de prendas de vestir eran encerradas en el edificio como práctica para evitar que alguna pudiera llevar la mercancía, esto ocasionó que ante un incendio se vieran imposibilitadas de escapar del fuego a lo que muchas se lanzaban desde el octavo y noveno piso en función de escapar de las llamas; obviamente esto devela las malas condiciones de trabajo, esta realidad fue el detonante para impulsar un movimiento sindical de mujeres en lucha por el derecho al trabajo, al respeto a la igualdad, al reconocimiento de su condición de humana. Esta tragedia en la cual perdieron la vida 121 mujeres de edades comprendidas en entre los 14 y lo 48 años se configura como el agente promotor de leyes que garanticen mejores condiciones de seguridad industrial, así como de salud ocupacional o laboral.
