Yesterday we shared about Jesus calling out his 4 Disciples in Matthew 4:19... with an invitation to "Come and Follow Me..."
Today we hear Jesus invite his disciples in a "different manner". You can read it in Mark 6:30-31...
The apostles returned from their mission and gathered around Jesus and told him everything they had done and taught. There was such a swirl of activity around Jesus, with so many people coming and going, that they were unable to even eat a meal. Source
So Jesus said to his disciples, “Come, let’s take a break and find a secluded place where you can rest a while.” They slipped away and left by sailboat for a deserted spot. Source
All of His disciples were coming back from their Missions Trip to Galilean villages to preach and cast out demons, and were possibly tired. So Jesus, invites them to Come Away with Him to find a Quiet Place where they can REST.
I find this So Beautiful! -- that the LORD knows each one of us. He is so personal to our needs and He really knows what each of us requires.
Perhaps some of us need to;
In verse :32 it reads
They slipped away and left by sailboat for a deserted spot. Source
Where is your deserted spot, for you to regain your strength, composure, and to receive your clarity, direction for the task ahead. Because, if you do not have this little break, it may be a deterrent to your effectiveness in all you do from Ministry to Work to your Family Life.
Jesus is calling you to "Come Away" with Him.
Will you abide and go along with Him?
Over to you.
Blessings & Shalom.
