INCOGNITO (Art Exhibition)

Incognito has one's identity concealed under an assumed name, especially to avoid notice or proper attention. It is not the usual, acting at one's own rule and progressing against the expected current. What are we hiding? Why do we hide it? Is it the actual personality or a hidden one? Or incognito as out of the system and not recognized by history, you as out of the grid.

The exhibiting artists decided to accumulate personal insights, ideas, and concepts driven from their perspectives as a Mindanaoan. They aim to depict "out of the grid" portrayals of issues found in Mindanao. By "out of the grid," meaning away from the common cultural representations and indigenous subjects. However, it is not revolting as it sounds. The "Incognito" doesn't reflect its etymology: concealing one's identity. Instead, it aims to acknowledge what's hidden from the view of the audience. Hence, revealing what has been in Incognito.
