Hello friends,
Today I found an interesting post of @galenkp who offered an opportunity to writing and I immediately decided to take part in it. I love writing about anything often it is easy but the other times it is difficult. Nevertheless, my first writing here and I hope that it is OK.
Here is the link to his post:

This weekend I found out I only have one year to live and I just thought: OK, that’s it!
This very moment there are many different thoughts in your heard and you get very scared, your heart is beating fast, you start to think what the loving people around you will think and your reaction is better not to tell your family, because you do not want to scare them.
Why me?
We all live and do not think that life is a precious gift and we all have been granted that with unknown duration. When we young we do not care about our time and often waste it doing nothing or “killing” the time but. We think that life is a game that specially was created for us and we are the main character. Without us or me the show will not go on.
I thought that it was me, the center of the world and I always thought that I will live forever. I enjoyed my life and my travel, I easily made friends but also easily forgot many “friends”. I did not care about those who I met and thought that the next day there will be more new and interesting people.
The silent signs
Despite of good life, friends and family and enjoying my days, I caught myself recently feeling tired quickly. I used to have interesting and colourful dreams but now I am not dreaming anymore. I stopped sleeping through nights and often waking up and can’t fell asleep again. Often when I wake up I find myself in completely wet clothes and my bed clothes are soaked in my sweat. I knew that something was wrong but could not understand what it was.
I kept it just for me and did not tell anyone else until once on the way to work I had a momentary nodding and came off the road. Luckily, I suffered minor injury but was brought to hospital.
The moment of truth
The nurse took my bloods and half an hour later the doctor came, he was looking like he felt very sorry but the same time apologetic about something. I could not understand that at this moment, also his questions about fatigue and night sweats made me cautious. Can he see my past? No, he could see my future.
He sat down and started a careful and thoughtful explanation starting with my Blood count. Because I already knew that something terribly was wrong with me, my mind could not concentrate on his words, the only things I understand that this was a cancer of blood cells and it is approximately one year that is the expectation.
My heart refused to accept that but my mind knew that this is the truth and what I need to do was to make arrangements to make sure that everything is sorted. Maybe this was just me, who liked to be prepared for everything.
- I am going to leave my job because there is no sense to loose the rest of my time
- The family members are people who I want to spend my time with
- Every day I want to do something that I never done before, bucket list, yes, maybe...perhaps….
I will think about that tomorrow, it is too much for today.
*Hope you like my writing and till next time.
