Sorcerers had their books of spells and potions.
Witches had their grimoire.
Scholars and scientists have their books of formulas and ideas.

Books have always equaled power, and a passport is no different.

I never really knew the true power of one until I had it in my hand, at an airport, setting off for a foreign land. As I felt myself leaving the safety and security of the known and launching at 500 knots into a whole world of experiences I'd never known... then I realized the power of this little book. It opens your mind and your heart, it takes you to places you'd never even truly imagined, it crumbles the border walls of nations before you.

And I'm still amazed by the number of people who don't own one. Who haven't felt that power. Not even in the "going", but in the knowing that at any moment... you can go. You can always just pack up and head anywhere (finances withstanding).

If you don't have one, get one. Make sure it's not expired and has some empty pages. Keep it where you can see it daily, and it can remind you of the freedom you now have to move about the globe so easily. Where you can constantly feel it's power.
