I started thinking about the values of self voting, and how it truly equated if you were to build a bot that just made 10 posts a day, self voted each one, and quit. No outside voters (so no revenue split), no wasted vote power. Then, at the end of each day, you take that day's earnings (from 7 days ago) and buy STEEM with the SBD and power it up.
Came out like this, starting from my current steem power and presuming SBT>STEEM sticks around 0.35:
Note that none of that SBD in the green column would be yours to spend, as you'd have turned it all into SP as well so would require a power down.
Not terrible... but still not enough to get out of minnow status (1000SP) in a single year. However, if you multiply your starting point by 10... a few couple of thousand dollars... things start to climb very very quickly:
