Secession is a right. More than that, it is the useful thing to do. Obsolete institutions, outdated situations, oppressive goverments - all can be remedied by the cure of secession.
Establishing the right to secede would allow for quicker adaptation to demanding situations, both for nations and individuals.
Secession promotes competition in governance, tests the utility of self-determination. In a true democracy, secession is only logical.
