I was under impression that our phones now allow for real-time translation. Here is what my Samsung phone is offering though I didn't get a chance to try this yet:

"Conversation Mode: Tap the "Conversation" button to have a two-way, real-time translated chat. The app automatically detects which language is being spoken."
