This article rings true but I think being subject to layers of onerous bureaucracy and curtailing of freedom inevitable. I got into a discussion not too long ago about the fact that it took two? three? generations for the country to begin to get over alcohol prohibition. Drinking for my parent's World War II Generation friends was an act of defiance even if they had to purchase the stuff at a state liquor store.
