Hail to the Hive!

Yesterday evening I had a grand time as I managed to walk all around Foxton Locks at sunset with the entire place to myself. Only one couple and there dog passed me briefly but otherwise I was alone. This is rare as it is an extremely busy place usually throughout the day and there are two pubs also located at the bottom locks so I was surprised, but grateful.

After a rainy, gloomy, miserable day the skies suddenly cleared and the light was excellent as the sun went down with just the right amount of clouds for texture and backdrop. I had only ventured down to check on the key mechanism for the swing bridge at the bottom so all this was a real bonus and I was enjoying the whole walk, photo exploring experience. Being alone made it all the better. No distractions, nobody ruining the shots and no compromise as to where I wanted to walk and when. Bliss.

I have to say that this is something that #hive and in particular #monomad has nurtured me to explore and create and deliberately go looking for the image and the story. I have and am enjoying this creative outlet immensely and it does now contribute a big percentage to our nomadic lifestyle aboard Badger the Narrowboat on the canals of the UK.

I wonder what we will see today as we quickly branch off on a new arm of the canal we鈥檝e not visited as yet. My monomad eye will be scouting for shots to be sure because

I do Love a bit of #monomad 馃槣
