Our narrowboating travels continue and have brought us to the town of Sandbach in Cheshire where we met up with some friends and of course had to partake in a beer or five. They brought us to a delightful little boozer with an incredible array of cask & keg beers as well as a formidable variety of bottles and cans.
After a bit of a catch up chat while glugging down some pints of IPA we decided to have a bit of a nose at the selection of beers we could take home.
It’s probably a good job it wasn’t possible to bring Badger the narrowboat to the door of the pub or I would have been tempted to stockpile enough beer for a few months!
The variety of different beers available was staggering.
The names alone demanded closer attention and got you wondering as to what they would taste like.
Hmm decisions decisions….
Haha Backwoods Bastard is one I shall return for without a doubt.
I have been drinking a lot of pale ale of late but was curious to sample a few different stouts as I like a stout in the winter.
So I decided to try out these 3.
Sweet Cherry Pie! Cherry Stout.
Dorithy Goodbodys Wholesome Stout
Bad co. Dazed and confused Milk stout.
I shall give a report on Beer Saturday as to their tastes as I plan to indulge a little at the weekend!
