Located only three miles out of the city centre of Leicester is Kings Lock. Previously a lock keepers cottage and now a canal side cafe.
It鈥檚 Tuesday and for some reason not open today which is a crying shame as the weather is glorious and I鈥檝e seen about 20 people attempt to get in not realizing it鈥檚 closed. If it were me I would havemade an exception this week as the English weather doesn鈥檛 do this for long periods and there鈥檚 $$$$ to be made today for sure.
But with it being closed there鈥檚 not a crowd out front which is good for me as I can take advantage of the beautiful conditions and lack of people photo bombing to get some nice snaps off.
I even took the opportunity to do a spot of video for my vlog as it鈥檚 easier to talk to the camera with fewer people around.
This is one of our favorite spots to moor when coming into or out of Leicester and you can see why. It鈥檚 postcard picturesque.
And this will be the direction we hesd off in after another couple of days here. Super nice area, super chill and all the boats near us we鈥檝e met before. We are fast becoming part of the boating community and it feels good.
