Hail to the Hive!
We are in Jamaica 馃嚡馃嚥 for 3 minths and have just spent just over a week in Negril to chill out over our wedding anniversary and while I was there I have rediscovered my love of flying drones. I think the coastlines really helped with that as I absolutely love the transition from land to sea as seen from directly above. They are images I love playing around with and this community is the perfect place to post some of the manipulations as it encourages different photography mediums with the same images.
As always I like to offer up 3 different aspects of each image. Colour, colour splash & black and white. These are all taken from a height of approximately 50m above the Home Sweet Home Coastal Resort in Negril.
All 3 have their different vibe and all work in their own way. I think on this occasion, as much as I am a huge black and white fan, the colour splash images seem to work the best.
The colour and black and white shots are great and bring out different detail and each work as stand alone shots.
But the colour splash works better for me as I think it draws a definite distinction between the land and the sea.
