Hail to the Hive!

Now this is my first time participating in #threetunetuesday and I believe all credit is due to @ablaze for getting this rolling. I stumbled across this recently reading posts from @livinguktaiwan and then today someone I met through noise.cash a fair while ago @tengolotodo posted his Rebel Yell and this got my cogs in my brain whirring as I’m a big music fan. Ordinary I would have turned to myfavourite genre, the blues, but I find myself in an odd mood today and have decided to pluck 3 very different tunes that have provoked emotion from me in past years. So be prepared to be torn in 3 very different directions.

Now I could have picked any number of Gil Scott Herons tunes as so many speak to me on so many levels. ‘i think I’ll call it morning’ ‘ revolution will not be televised’ etc and I’ve not just chosen him cos his dad played for Celtic FC to annoy @tengolotodo either I just dig this tune so much. Make sure your bass is turned up a little, pour a beverage of your choice and let this wash over you.

Now I go by the monika @scubahead for a good reason as I love scuba diving and adore Motorhead. Seems simple enough eh? Nothing beats the energy, honesty, power and no fucking nonsense of Motorhead and lets not forget humour!

I will never forget evenings at my old Dive Centres bar in the Philippines playing this tune and literally crying with laughter at either peoples reaction to the lyrics of an edgy 2 live crew tune done in true Lounge Style. Even funnier watching people chatting oblivious to the topic of the song and just digging the Lounge melodies.
