I鈥檓 writing this while I brew my morning coffee and contemplating the day ahead as I means a day of cruising along the canal and never quite knowing whats around the bend.
We are backtracking along a stretch of canal we have done a few times before so it is familiar yet we still keep noticing more and more that we didn鈥檛 see the previous times we passed through.
This corner in these photos I cam through in howling wind and rain the first time so no chance for a photo op and I had to crab the boat and rev the engine like crazy to avoid colliding with moored boats along the side.
This time it could not have been calmer, sunny too!
So it was nice to happily snap away while slowly chugging around the bend and. Ag some beautiful reflection shots. I鈥檒l need to choose some more postcard shots to have printed up as I have about 20 plus to mail out to my youtube subscribers now to say thanks for buying me beers. I鈥檒l be doing that when we reach Leicester.
Today we hope to chug our way to at least the beginning of the Leicester arm of the Grand Union Canal. Only 5 locks and a 3km tunnel between us.
Easy.
And i need to keep me eyes peeled in case there鈥檚 more #monomad gold just around the bend!
