In my experience, a homemaker doesn't get a day off unless she leaves home. I have been known to go for a drive someplace that appeals to me, maybe do a little window shopping, eat lunch at a restaurant, possibly sit in the car or on a park bench (depending on the weather) and read a book, and go home when I get around to it.
