I am old enough to remember when "finding oneself" became a popular pastime, back in the '60s and'70s. And where did most young people go to find themselves? The sunny beaches of California in the summertime. Funny how they didn't go to Minnesota in January to do it. If they had, I think they would have found themselves much more quickly and then gone home to get on with their lives.
