RE: Pungent Ponderings
I can't imagine Kat-involved festivities without Kat-created tasty food. It all sounds delicious! Looking forward to that recipe post, the phantom boat story, and the Jo-Jo tales.

RE: The importance of being smiley
My husband just turned 70 and he qualifies as a G.F. He has been so for many years. He usually puts on his best face when other people are around, but now and then he slips.

RE: Anniversaries, Birthdays and Other Celebrations
I am sure our country's founders would be shocked if they could see what has happened to our "free" country. So many of our freedoms are gone now, and more disappear each day. Those striving

RE: 2 July 2026, Freewriters Community Daily Writing Prompt Day 3152: rational
The butt-sponge idea sure sounds like a lot of fun, though...for a kid. I don't plan to test it.

RE: The Fourth of July – July 1 – 3, 2026 @goldenoakfarm
That was fun to look back at your past early-July activities. Does the bear pass through very often? I've never seen one here, but my sister sees them from time to time at her place in Montana.

I'm sure the new shop will be nice when it's done, but the process looks painful. And noisy. Perhaps I should acquire a Corgi to catch ground squirrels here. As usual, they are being pests. And Clarence

RE: Another Month Almost Over - Garden Update - by Sunscape
Ooooh, I was wrong! I do have some blossoms on the squash today! It has been rainy, cloudy, and chilly for a few days, so I hadn't been out in the garden.

RE: Performing eye surgery...on a doll
Thanks! My sister really does a great job with crocheting things, and making the repair was easier than I expected, once I had the correct needle.

I've had that rhubarb plant for several years. It must love where it is planted, because it has gotten huge!

RE: Another Cooking Day - Baking & Prepping Breakfast - by Sunscape
Over the past several years, as I learned more and more about what's in the food we buy at the store, I have been changing the way I cook. I shudder when I think of the things I fed to my children thirty

Oh dear. Definitely not a pleasant gramma memory! By the time I was born, only one of my four grandparents was still living. For most of my growing up years, she lived far away and I didn't see her often.

You have so many beautiful flowers! I enjoy all the photos of them that you share. Nice to see flowers on the veggies. Mine aren't quite there yet. Soon!

Did you use a tube of refrigerated biscuit dough? Or did you make it yourself? I'm wondering if it makes much difference in how it turns out and/or how long to bake it; I try hard to avoid pre-made products

Uffda. Forced rest is not fun, especially when pain is involved. I am glad you felt up to producing a tasty pie, and that you got to admire the peonies. Mine bloomed a couple of weeks ago, but my sister's

RE: Giant black bear walks into photo shoot at Biltmore Estate
My sister lives near the Mission Mountains in western Montana. Bears turn up in their yard periodically, usually black bears. She has some good stories to tell about them.
