Wow, that family sure has a tangled up background. Even though it's a fictional family, it makes me sad, because real families exist with similar messes, if not worse. I am thankful my own background was

I bought a book about year round salad gardening, but haven't purchased the necessary containers or figured out where I'd put them. I still like the concept, but no idea when I will ever get to it. Meanwhile,

It's always sad when we have to let an elderly pet go. They become part of the family.

Ugh, mice are the pits! More than once, our cats have brought in live mice and let them go, and then we had to trap them. Now that we don't have a dog, the pet door has been removed and the one remaining

Life is crazy, but I saw several tidbits of good news in there, plus all that fun time with the bro. That's good.

I don't plan to start any seeds this year. Since I am lacking any assistance, I will be downsizing my garden drastically. The raspberries and blueberries will keep me busy, anyway.

Previous comments already said it all. Great post. This is my favorite line: Lately, I’ve reached an awareness that tribulation, rather than demanding to be overcome, can simply be accepted. The problem

I am envious of that! I'd love to meet so many of my fellow Hivers, but it's not likely to happen.

As I recall, you aren't very old, yourself, yet you manage to see "young people" around you. I suppose I once did, too, but I've forgotten about that. Everybody looks young to me now, unless

You just said a whole lot of important things! I will try to find the time to listen to that interview. I protect my peace by not focusing on the nastiness of the world. I keep informed, but I don't dwell

I have often wondered whether there is a place I would feel like I truly belonged. I'm thinking in terms of weather, climate, flora, fauna, and the general mindset of other inhabitants. I have never cared

Her surgery went well, but recovery is going very slowly.

Well, drat! You are getting weather that belongs up north! I can only imagine how frustrating it is.

We've had problems with loose dogs in our area now and then. I can understand the occasional escapee, but the ones that are out on the road all the time are disturbing. Or maybe I should say their owners
