That sure sounds like it was a great experience. I wonder if kids that age nowadays would be allowed to run equipment like that?

Glad you found a good recipe with which to use up some of that eggplant crop. I have too much zucchini this year, but I found out the local food bank will take my extras. You might be able to unload some

Hurray for progress, indoors and out!

It's wonderful that you still have your finger in the pie, as the saying goes. I, too, homeschooled my children, and perhaps I will still have a chance to help a little with a grandchild here and there.

There's a lot going on at your house, and what a busy day! I am not familiar with Juneberries. Since you are harvesting them in August, I am wondering how they got their name. I guess I could look it up,

My husband and I have agreed that when our current aging cat dies, we will have no more pets. From a practical point of view, it makes sense. They are tripping hazards, and cause extra work and expense.

I've actually made blueberry scones twice this summer, with fresh blueberries. They were marvelous! Glad yours turned out well, too. I need to do a baking post.

You and that laptop have made a lot of memories by now. It's like an old friend, yet it may have to be replaced one of these days. Sad.

Apparently I haven't read any Hive posts for 5 days. That always puzzles me; wasn't I just on here yesterday? No, there have been interesting grandkid interruptions, followed by catch-up-at-home days,

I really should know better. 😆

And yet you caught several good shots of him! Very nice. I have a hummingbird feeder with six ports, yet two hummingbirds will argue about who gets to use it.

I'm glad you were able to make the best of the Silverwood expedition. It's truly unusual to see Boulder Beach nearly deserted at that hour of the morning on an August day! But we are indeed having odd

Somewhere along the line you picked up a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, as evidenced in your last sentence. Was that the result of the way you were raised, or simply the path you later chose? I rather

My daughter was in a tizzy last evening, trying to decide whether or not to evacuate. She is only 1.6 miles from the Fairview fire, but it has been spreading in the opposite direction. The whole situation

I still haven't done anything with the garnets we panned for years ago! You do pack a lot into your days. I am always impressed. Our raspberries have been very abundant this year. Right now the air is

Nice to know all is well with you. Yes, grandchildren really use up one's time and energy...but it's worth it!

Yes, it is very tasty!

Glad you like the bouquet!

And that is likely the best place to stop!
