Nice to see you loved it and I can see why with some background in theater while watching it with your dad. Certainly an excellent acting performance from Colman Domingo and I hope he wins the oscar even though it will probably go to Adrien Brody. That said, I went into Sing Sing with way too high expectations while not having anything with theater so it kind of turned out in a dissapointment.

If you are into theater movies, maybe check out Theater Camp, in a way that one felt like Sing Sing but intsead of prisoners with kids at a summer camp.
