It may appeal immensely to some people

Count me as one of those! From by far is the Series that I am intrigued most about since Lost. The writers already stated that they won't make the same mistake and that they already know how everything will unfold this time. I do get your point that there is quite some filler material. Still each episode gives a nugget that keeps you wondering and I love watching all the theories online about the show.

It's also a series for me that works best with a 1 episode a week release while most other series I just prefer to binge watch.

It will be a while before Season 4 comes out.
