This blog is a personal journal of all the movies, Tv-Shows, & Games I consume during a year which enhances my overall experience. The ratings that I give are fully based on my personal preference and enjoyment at the time of watching and I'm writing spoiler-free reviews. All HBD earnings are used to get HP Delegations!

This is one of those movies that I have been wanting to watch for a long time but never got to it until tonight. Generally, I enjoy Teenage High-school coming of age movies, so I had quite high hopes on this one with the expectation that there was a small chance for it to be something special which it didn't turn out to be. Some of these types of movies like Ladybird / Are You There God, It's Me Margareth / Eith Grade / Whisper Of The Heart / Ferris Bueller's Day Off easily get 8+ scores for me while many others I just enjoyed watching but didn't stick at all which I guess the edge of Seventeen fits into.

The Edge Of Seventeen (7.3/10)

This is a 1 Hour and 44m Minute movie from 2016 with in the lead role Hailee Steinfeld who I only really heard the name of before without actually knowing anything about her. She didn't play the most likeable character in this movie which kind of made me feel like when I watched Didi last year. There is just something about these movies where I either prefer likeable characters or those I relate to more.

Spoiler-Free Movie Plot:

"High-school life gets even more unbearable for Nadine when her best friend, Krista, starts dating her older brother."

So it's a typical coming of age movie with some self-doubt in it and romance struggles. While I did enjoy watching it, I also wasn't blown away by anything really and many of the jokes & plot twists were rather predictable that you knew in advance what was going to happen of wat was going to be said.

When it came down to the character situation and the plot, in some ways it kind of was reletable but in other ways also not. So yeah, it was an enjoyable movie that I'm glad to finally have watched. In the end though, it also likey won't stick which makes me give it a 7.3/10

The trailer doesn't spoil the movie in any way and gives a pretty good impression.
