Collecting sports cards is one of the most American things that a boy does growing up. I am lucky enough to have grown up and live in Chicago and was blessed with Michael Jordan and the 1990’s Bulls teams.
There was a baseball card shop about 2 minutes from my house so me and my friends, including
I never sold or threw away my card collection. I'm sure it's not worth a whole lot nowadays, but as a 39 year old dad with a daughter, they have just sat in boxes down in our basement.
I stumbled upon them the other day as we were get out our Christmas decorations and I showed them to my daughter. To my surprise, she thought they were pretty cool. So I pulled out this Michael Jordan card and gave it to her. There aren't a whole lot of names that my 10 year old would know from the 80’s and 90’s, but she definitely knows who MJ is.
The baseball card market has made a BIG bounce back the last couple years as Cards are autographed and certified.
