Last night I got out to Emerald Bay for a photo I've envisioned for quite some time. The photo didn't turn out exactly like I had pictured but it's a good one anyway. Check out the video if you want a little glimpse into my evening's adventure.
The keeper ended up being a 375 second long exposure photo, shot on a Canon 5Dsr with a 16-35mm lens set at 16mm. The ISO was 200 and the aperture was f6.3. Even though it was pretty dark, a graduated neutral density filter was used in order to darken the moonlit sky and balance the foreground exposure with the sky. The long exposure was necessary to get the streaks from the lights of the moving cars.
Thank you for watching, looking, and reading!
