Kauai is known for is crazy weather, it’s one of the wettest places on the planet. Lush beautiful and green almost everywhere except for a few spots on the island.
Flooding in some parts is a fairly common occurrence and a few days before we arrived it rained 50 inches in 24 hours causing some major flooding in the north of the island and road closures.
The storms have returned as as of writing this we received another 12 inches of rain over night, basically an inch an hour.
So crazy!
