I recently wrote an article looking for ideas on how we might be able to reward a wider range of new users to POB possibly with a dedicated curation account. There was some really good feedback and I was thankful to the community for providing the feedback.
Consensus seemed to point to the fact that there may not be enough people ready to dedicate their time to curating through this way so I have decided not to pursue this any further. I would suggest people start to look at maybe following some of the established curation trails and I can recommend the following users to follow: @calumam and
@vempromundo who do a great job curating. I would recommend setting the upvote to 50% to ensure you have a bit left for curating yourself.
I have decided to follow both at a lower % to add a little more oomph to their votes. I'll see how it effects my voting % for a bit and keep manually curating as well.
So governance is an important component of the POB network and not much has been really discussed since an initial post from @madstacks. A recent IDEAS post from
@fireguardian got me thinking about the need to look further into starting a governance team so I am proposing the following:
Now some more input is needed by @proofofbrainio but I feel this needs to get rolling as it will take a bit of time to vote in the governance team. I feel a team of three will place the tribe in the right place to start to move the tribe forward and can even produce a roadmap in conjunction with
@proofofbrainio.
Governance team members could be compensated through rewards of POB from any governance team posts from a specialised @pob-gov account.
Some ideas here for the community to ponder.
Thanks for reading.
