It's time to give salaried workers a break. The real wealthy people are not coming from employed individuals. Wealth is generated through businesses, which have better leeway in lowering taxes as compared to tax-withheld individuals.

A business owner can easily declare Php minimal salary since they earn anyway from dividends/honorariums/ professional fees, etc. Too many loopholes in the system that taxing the 'wealthy' becomes irrelevant. The tax bureau should be smarter.

Being a free-market capitalist, I agree that we should encourage people to aim higher wages and disincentivize unnecessary addiction (i.e. sin tax).
