The halvenings are guaranteed to push the price up eventually. I wouldn't be surprised if it had the opposite effect this time in the short term though. It's starting to be talked about like the consensus

Agree, but the cost of mining must help give Bitcoin more of a price floor. I'm more confident in the current price knowing those mining it have invested a lot to get it.
