Hello Supporters,
Happy New Year. Can you remember your feelings with new books at school in childhood? We are going to start a new academic year. We will celebrate 3 years of @SchoolForSDG4 this April. I @Azizbd am so glad to have all of you with me. As you know, we already have received 2019's books from Government, we arranged the new books allocation program on 3rd January 2019. You might see many new faces if you have been following our posts for a year.
Now, I am focusing on arranging school backpacks this month. Thanks to amazing @siamcat for the donation to cover school bag cost. I know the price of steem is a cause of the delay in many projects. But we can't give up the hope to make it possible. Thanks to
@r2cornell for the donation this month. With the direct support from
@fundition and @ADollarADay project, we have raised 379.590 STEEM for the month.
We have some books left extra and we will try to allocate the books when we have some new admission. I believe we will able to add few children more if it is highly important. Many parents move to the city in the middle of the school academic year and they strive to admit their kids in school. But it is hard to find a school where they can admit their children. Also, the cost of education is unaffordable to most parents.
In the above picture, Khadija was taking books from @Azizbd. She is now in class 2.
Shelina will have to redo the same class. She has dyslexia problem. I wish to keep her at school for her social development and also give some educational backup. Her mother also has the same wish but I feel sorry as she couldn't achieve the next class. In many cases, parents give up to continue education for such children. Her mother asked me what to do, she was disappointed with her score. But we can't judge her improvement with the academic result. Her social behaviour and academic improvement is very visible. I am so happy to provide her new books this year and hope she will do it this time.
