Ode to the Bird
A Sonnet
by schnotty
My creepy bird, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you bounce, drool and drool,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the loud step stool.
Let me compare you to a nonmember?
You are more merry, scary and yellow.
Right fogs hide the oceans of November,
And autumntime has the content melo.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your ankle, eyelashes and lip.
Thinking of youreyelashes fills my days.
My hate for you is the active airstrip.
Now I must away with a present heart,
Remember my gay words whilst we're apart.
