Was lernst du daraus?
Geh mit Leichtigkeit durchs Leben, lass es fließen – go with the flow.

So, how many shooting stars did you see last night? Did you look up at the night sky as well? The Perseids were exceptionally visible again yesterday – and right after the solar eclipse, this was next on my list. There were exactly 10. Not 11, not 12, but precisely 10. And I’d love to tell you why …
Today, I want to share a short story with you – a valuable life lesson that has significantly enriched my life and continues to work like a charm every single time:
Letting Go!
Yesterday, I caught myself red-handed. And honestly? It was crystal clear why I didn't catch an 11th shooting star.
Let’s start from the beginning: I was sitting on my balcony. At first, the sky was slightly cloudy, partially hiding the stars. I was cozy in my hanging chair – with a somewhat limited view – casually checking my phone. I was texting my best friend, who was also looking up at the sky at around 11 PM from a different location. After she spotted her first two shooting stars, it hit me: Maybe I should spend less time looking at my screen and more time looking at the sky. And lo and behold – the first ones appeared! Honestly, between you and me, I haven't seen them this bright and close in a very long time.
Before I knew it, I hit number 5 and could barely keep up with making wishes. I was genuinely happy, enjoying the peaceful silence and the moment. I had set a goal of 10 shooting stars before going to bed. And sure enough, one after another crossed the sky until I reached my 10 ...
… The serenity, the mild summer night, the shooting stars, and the wishes. It was absolute bliss.
But then, my ambition kicked in: Come on, just one more! Just one extra shooting star! After all, success often comes from that one extra repetition, right?
So there I sat, staring intently into the dark sky, waiting. Minutes passed. Nothing happened. I thought to myself: Hey, how is that even possible?! Just a moment ago there were so many, and now... nothing?
Then came the eureka moment!
An 11th shooting star couldn't possibly show up – because I was trying to force it. I was putting pressure on the universe, and right then and there, I realized: That’s not how it works.
When I started out just relaxing, enjoying the view, and letting go, the shooting stars fell almost second by second. The spectacle in the sky was breathtaking. But the moment I urgently wanted more, pressure and expectation took over. I tried convincing myself: "Just an 11th one, and then I'll go to sleep."
What’s the takeaway here? What did I re-learn yesterday?
Never try to achieve anything in life through pressure and force. Quite the opposite: let go and allow things to happen. Walk through life with lightness, let things slide, and go with the flow.
I first truly learned this lesson during my trip to India. This video is packed with great insights and mindsets – if you are ready to listen closely:

Because of the internal pressure I built up, there was simply no way an 11th shooting star could appear in that short window of time.
Rings a bell? 😉
Now and then, a little bit of pressure is helpful to get off our butts and get moving. However, when you try to force things with pressure and strain, it hardly ever works out. Most of the time, all it takes is taking a step back and being #grateful. Grateful for what you have and what you’ve already achieved. Being content, clearing your head, and simply letting go.
Let's gooooo :-)
