Flagging is a topic on Steemit everyday. It seems to be hurting feelings. People are trying to come up with different solutions to the issue.
I have finally come up with a way to preserve the flagging feature as a mechanism, but to also spare all hurt feelings across the platform.
We replace the flag with a balloon!
The benefits are obvious:
With the new system, with upvotes and balloons, the user wins either way!
- You get an upvote, you get rewards. Great!
- You get a balloon, well, hey, free balloon!
Who doesn't like a free balloon?
Also, something that could be considered is even using a Wigglytuff, the balloon pokémon, according to the Pokédex:
Who could ever be upset at receiving a Wigglytuff?
