Walkman 40th Anniversary Special Exhibition
As the Walkman celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, we set up a special exhibition hall at Sony Ginza Park. I did not take the camera and did not take a proper picture, but I made it really sensible.
Almost all of the Walkman is on display and can be heard. Next to the Walkman is the story of each of them with the Walkman, and they seem to have put their life songs in the Walkman. Tape, CD, and digital are all part of the experience, so listening to the songs in each Walkman is fun. It was a little strange that it worked well even though it was at least decades old.
I've never heard of a Walkman in tape or CD format, but the sound is unusual. I do not like the headphones that are connected by default, but I would like to go back with the camera and my earphones next time.
The exhibition will continue at Sony Ginza Park until September 9th. I see a lot of old people and a lot of foreigners. I am a digital generation so I did not have a chance to write CD or tape walkman, but I want to buy some.
