US President Donald Trump is accused of using the phrase "Shithole countries" in a meeting about immigration into the US.
I find it less interesting whether he said it or not, lets be honest whether this is true or not is fairly academic; Trump would have said or Tweeted some other bizarre and offensive thing quickly enough anyway.
What is really interesting is that people who were at the same meeting apparently confirming Trump both did, and did not say this.
Now both things can't be true, he either did or didn't say it. I see phrases like 'basically true' or 'I didn't hear it' from people who were supposed to have been there.
Something has become terribly broken in the world, if we can't just get a straight forward account if what happened in a meeting, apparently from some if the most intelligent and powerful people on the planet.
This is much bigger than POTUS, Washington, or the USA though; we see this in politics everywhere. How many times do you watch opposing politicians argue points where they don't even agree on the question, let alone the answer.
Pparty politics, is the swamp, it's the shithole. Let's flush the turds away, and get on with actually doing things, rather than sinking ever more slowly into the mire of party political bullshit.
