God has promised to deliver his people: Despite the terrors of that time, liberation is assured. No matter how big the attack against the Jewish people is, God promises to preserve them. He will never break His promise to Abraham: And I will establish my covenant between me and you, and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be your God, and that of your offspring after you. (Genesis 17: 7) Therefore, Israel returned from the Babylonian captivity. There was a return to the promised land.
