This psalm speaks of the blessed man, of the happy man. This blessed man is contrasted with the ungodly. It is also a figure of Christ. It also emphasizes that the person who experiences pleasure by being in contact with that Word is a happy person. The tragedies that afflict humanity today, expressed with tears, sighs, the pain of the heart, the broken hearts, the lives and homes destroyed, are the inevitable result of the human beings having broken the laws of God. In this sense the Word of God is clear. In 1 John 5: 3: "For this is the love of God: that we keep his commandments."
