What Pilato wrote about the head of our Lord was as if God had been directing Pilato about what should be written as the cause of Jesus' death. In truth, Christ was the King of the Jews, and now he was giving his life to be a spiritual King, whose kingdom is international, "of every lineage and language and people and nation."
