PayPal started to distance itself from eBay a while ago (its now not the preferred payment method for eBay - BACS transfers are).

I'm wondering if this was to concentrate on it's "emerging" crypto adventures with stablecoin?

It's certainly good PR to move away from one project to concentrate on another - it shows commitment and backing to the new project, rather than being stretched too thin.

It will be interesting to see what PayPal eventually morphs in to.
