I personally think XLM is great. There is a very low withdrawal fee from most exchanges, so it is a great currency to move Crypto around.
e.g. If I have BTC in Binance but I want to buy ETH in KuCoin, I would trade BTC to USDT and then USDT to XLM in Binance (at market rate), and then move the XLM to KuCoin. I would then trade XLM to USDT and USDT to ETH in KuCoin - market rate for the first trade, and then either at market rate or a limit trade into ETH (depending on my strategy).
As the majority of the trades are at market rate, you lose very little between each trade as they happen almost "real time" (and the markets mostly react in the same way) - and there is only a very small cost per trade to take in account (unlike the £20 or £30 fees that ETH charges for withdrawals).
I love the article though as it's great to read more about the currency (rather than just use it). Thank you.
