A good article, but it does rely on a VERY established blog and high footfall.

Most authors with established sites are already aware of adsense, adwords, text links, affiliate marketing, etc...

I'm not saying that it can't be done, but it would take a LOT of your time to get to $100 per day from a blog that you host yourself. I don't think most people have that kind of commitment, unlike yourself (and I congratulate you massively for that!).
