So I had an entirely different post planned today. I saw black panther yesterday, and loved it. I wanted to do a no spoiler review and some fan art to go along with it.

NOPE

I've been sick this last week and my brain was not having it...
About 60% through the fan art I was making... I irreversibly messed up.

This is the struggle of traditional media

Some may say (bob ross)... Oh well... make it into something else.... its a happy mistake...

NOPE

Since I was a child, I have had an extremely hard time with mistakes (only when it comes to art). I remember the first time my mom ever heard me swear was while getting upset at a piece I was drawing. As soon as I mess up and realize there is no going back, without skipping a beat, instantly, and like clockwork....

I RAGE QUIT

For me this typically is a few step process. I will immediately scribble/paint/smudge as much as I possibly can to make it worse, I will then fold/crumple the paper, and if I am especially frustrated, it gets completely ripped up.

This is probably me at my peak emotions as far as being angry/frustrated/upset. I do not typically let my emotions rule me, but I have realized that this is the rare exception.

What about you?

  • What is your most memorable rage quit?
  • What makes you rage quit most often?
  • What do you do when you rage quit?
